Robert Yaxley BSc

MIEEM CEnv

Robert is the director and principle ornithologist of WFE. Previously employed by the Norfolk Wildlife Trust, the RSPB, and the National Trust, Robert was an independent consultant ecologist from 1998 until 2003 when he established WFE. While foremost an ornithologist, he is also a highly capable botanist and has considerable experience in surveying for other protected species including badgers, bats, great crested newts, otters, reptiles and water voles.

Robert has a dedicated interest in wind farm ornithology studies, and can claim participation in a long list of onshore wind farm planning applications (a total of 50+ potential sites, with 10+ advanced to planning application). As a result of participating in so many projects, he has considerable experience negotiating wind farm consultations with Natural England and the RSPB.

     
 

Seth Lambiase BSc MRes MSc MIEEM

Seth Lambiase BSc MRes MSc MIEEM

Before joining WFE, Seth was a wildlife inventory biologist for the North Carolina State Department of Environment and Natural Resources, USA. He has an MRes in Ecology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and an MSc (with distinction) in Environmental Impact Assessment, Auditing and Environmental Management Systems from the University of East Anglia. 

Seth has eight years of professional zoological survey experience covering a broad range of taxa including small mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and terrestrial molluscs. He has particular expertise in field surveys for bats, and has carried out bat surveys in a wide range of habitats at sites in the UK, USA, and Costa Rica.

     
 

John Harris BSc

John Harris BSc

AIEEM

John joined WFE from Elsevier where he was an editor of ecological materials for Geobase. John is a herpetology specialist, with a licence for great crested newt surveys and extensive experience in reptile survey and mitigation. He is accomplished in field surveys for other protected species including badgers, bats and water voles. 

With a strong background in IT, John contributes skills in data management and presentation. John is an Associate member of the IEEM.

     
 

Graham Riley BSc

Graham Riley BSc AIEEM

Graham has been a professional or self-employed ornithologist for 15 years, and has travelled all over the globe in pursuit of his wildlife interests. Before joining with WFE, he was a team member of the RSPB Stone Curlew Project.

Using skills developed over so many years of wide-ranging practice, Graham executes vantage point, breeding bird (CBC, BBS), and wintering bird (WeBS) surveys to a high professional level of standard. He has performed ornithology surveys at c20 potential wind turbine development sites.

     
 

Will Riddett BA

Will Riddett BA

Will joined WFE in September 2008 as an assistant ecologist. William carries out a range of technical office duties such as mapping, correspondence, data handling and report writing. He also frequently assists in a variety of field surveys.

Will graduated from Exeter University in 2007 with a BA in Geography. He has worked in a range of jobs before joining WFE including retail, insurance and entertainment.
