Services

  • Arboricultural surveys: Many Local Planning Authorities will require arboricultural assessment of a site before consenting to a development. WFE can organise and tailor a survey to produce the range of documents associated with arboriculture, including a Tree Constraints Plan, Arboricultural Impact Assessment, Arboricultural Method Statement, Root Zone Survey, Quantified Tree Risk Assessment or Woodland Management Plan.
  • Invasive species surveys: Invasive species are becoming an increasing problem in many parts of the UK. They can dominate the ecology of an area and often render it unsuitable for other, native plants and animals. WFE can survey for and offer eradication solutions for most known invasive species, including Japanese knotweed, New Zealand pigmyweed, giant hogweed, Indian (Himalayan) balsam, floating pennywort, and rhododendron.

Project Examples

  • A large-scale arboricultural survey along a proposed cable route, and tree surveys at proposed wind farms across the country

  • We have identified New Zealand pigmyweed within two SSSIs in Norfolk and advised Natural England on removal strategies.

  • We have identified Japanese knotweed on a development site in Norfolk, and identified floating pennywort in a ditch network in north Suffolk.
