Our second successful project with Farmwind has received planning permission without any ecological objections.

Two of our recent wind farm projects at Middlewick and Boarding House have received planning permission on appeal.

Successful mitigation works for natterjack toad and common lizard on the sea wall at Burnham Overy have been completed. This work was in association with the Environment Agency and Halcrow, and was to repair and raise the old sea wall.

Tonight Kelly will be conducting a bat walk at Holt Country Park, on behalf of North Norfolk District Council Ranger Service.

Today our small wind turbine specialist Kelly gave a presentation to the Norfolk  Biodiversity and Planning Topic Group on ecology and small wind turbines. It was received with interest by planners and decision makers.

John has been accepted as a full member of the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management, whilst Susie is now an associate member.

This week Kelly will be giving talks on reptiles at Holt Country Park and Bacton Wood, on behalf of North Norfolk District Council Ranger Service.

Kelly’s abstract has been accepted for the RenewableUK International Small Wind 2011 Conference and Exhibition. She will be giving a presentation entitled ‘Impacts of Micro Wind Generators on Wildlife: Why Care?’  This will be on the second day of the conference, Wednesday 6th April,  in the Environment & Small Wind Systems session.
