Phil joined the team in January 2023 after 15 years working for a local optics retailer. He brings an in-depth knowledge of optics, including thermal imaging technology and other wildlife monitoring equipment. Phil is a qualified Category 1 Thermographer.
Phil also has 9 years experience as a freelance ecologist, primarily undertaking bat emergence/re-entry surveys, but also assisting with building inspections, reptile surveys, wintering bird surveys, great crested newt surveys and habitat surveys.
Phil holds a degree in Environmental Science from UEA, where his dissertation focused on using GIS to assess habitat connectivity of veteran trees.
